Mary, a lifelong Westport resident who is active in her community, received her B.A. from Purdue University in 1988, and received her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2001. She was admitted to practice in Connecticut in 2001 and was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States in 2010. Mary joined Lax & Truax, LLC as an associate in 2001, and was made a partner in January 2009. She continues as a partner at Reich & Truax, PLLC, commencing in January 2018.
She enjoys membership in the American Bar Association (Family Law Section), Connecticut Bar Association (Family Law Section), Fairfield County Bar Association (Family Law Section, prior Co-Chair), and Greater Bridgeport Bar Association (Family Law Section).
Mary regularly serves the Connecticut Superior Court as a Special Master in family cases in the judicial districts of Stamford/Norwalk, Fairfield and Milford. She has also presented at continuing legal education seminars in Connecticut, with a presentation entitled “Family Law Litigation in Connecticut,” and as a guest lecturer at Quinnipiac University School of Law in furtherance of the profession in family law.
She earned mediation certification through the Quinnipiac University School of Law, and also earned certification as an Attorney for Minor Children and as Guardian Ad Litem for minor children.
